CHILDRENS’ DAY

Children’s day is a day recognized to celebrate children. The day is celebrated on different dates in different countries.

Childrens’ Day in Nigeria is celebrated on May 27^th. It started on the second of June in 1856 by Reverend Charles Leonard who held a dedication to and for the children it was first named Rose day then Flower Sunday and finally it was named Childrens’ Day by Reverend Charles Leonard. It was declared a public holiday by the republic of Turkey and that is why we have Childrens’ Day now.
